01 / THE ARTIST
Getting to know Tayc
From Marseille to Afrolove
Born in Marseille in 1996, Tayc is a French singer of Cameroonian heritage. His early releases include Alchemy in 2017 and Helios in 2018, followed by the NYXIA series. There was a catalogue before the 2020 breakthrough.
Universal’s biography describes Caribbean influences in the early tracks he posted online. His touring team uses the name Afrolove for his musical identity.
Fleur froide and the Dadju chapter
Fleur froide was released on 4 December 2020. The original edition has 18 tracks; later versions expand the record. N’y pense plus is an entry point into that period, while Le temps appears in the expanded catalogue linked below.
HÉRITAGE, released on 16 February 2024, is credited jointly to Dadju and Tayc. The collaboration had already produced the single I love you on 8 December 2023. Listen to it as a duet, rather than treating this part of the catalogue as a solo Tayc project.
JOŸA, then Oslo
JOŸA followed on 15 May 2026 in its original 20-track edition. The credits include Masego on MASTERPIECE and Aya Nakamura on VA LOIN. The album link below opens that original edition; a separate 21-track version is also listed in the catalogue.
The Oslo concert is documented in the archive. The listening choices here introduce the recordings rather than promise a concert setlist. Dates and performance status below follow the archive’s evidence.
